Scoring / TimingThe Salt Lake City Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K has selected the ChampionChip system for the scoring and timing of both the Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K for this year’s event.
If you do not wear your chip, you will not be timed. Timing chips must be adhered to your shoe. (If you do not adhere it to your shoe, the chip may not be close enough to the ground to register your time as you cross the start and finish line mats!)
For more information about how ChampionChip timing works, visit Start Line LocationThe half marathon start line is located at the George S. Eccles Legacy Bridge (cross streets of Wasatch Drive and South Campus Drive) on the University of Utah Campus near the Fort Douglas TRAX station. This is approximately two miles from downtown Salt Lake City. There will be restrooms, water, medical, and gear bag drop available. There are also grassy areas on which to warm up and stretch prior to the race. WeatherThe average high temperature over the last 15 years for the date of April 17th has been 64° F. |
