We are just getting ready to relaunch registration in September for the 2026 event. We will email all past participants as well as share on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
We look forward to having you with us on April 24, 2027 to #runthecapital for the 24th Annual Salt Lake City Marathon!
Yes! Our finish line officially closes at 1:30 PM on race day. That means that for the full marathon and half marathon, you have 6.5 hours to complete the course and receive an official time.
Yes, we offer complimentary gear check at all events' start lines. There will be a gear check tag on your bib. Your gear can be picked up at the post race party -- look for the big Gear Check tent.
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds per the agreement when you registered. You do have the option to defer your entry to next year (2028) for a nominal fee. To do that, follow these steps:
-
Login to your RunSignUp account (you must use the same email which you registered with)
-
Scroll down to “Upcoming Races” and select “Manage Registration” next to the Salt Lake City Marathon.
-
Click on “Defer Registration” (top right-hand corner under profile pic)
-
Complete required information and click on “Complete Payment & Deferral”
This must be completed by Friday, April 23, 2027 at 7:00 PM.
Yes!
You can change your event distance from your RunSignup profile. Just follow these steps should you choose to:
1) Login to your RunSignup account (you must use the same email which you registered with). If you forgot your password, you’ll need to request a reset.
2) Scroll down to “Upcoming Races” and select “Manage Registration” next to the Salt Lake City Marathon.
3) Click on “Transfer Event” (top right-hand corner under profile pic)
4) Click on “Start Transfer” and complete required information to switch your event.
We hope this helps! This can be done any time leading up to race day, but events usually sell out, so we recommend doing it as soon as you know for sure which distance you’d like to do. There is an upcharge for going up in distance, but it’s free to switch into a lesser distance.
Reach out if we can be of any further assistance - we're excited for you to join us this April!
